Terms & Conditions
The Gadget Room (thegadgetroom.co.za) is an online store operated as a sole proprietorship, selling from the shelves of MBC's five registered Vodacom stores across Gauteng and Soweto. By placing an order you agree to these terms. Last updated: 11 July 2026.
1. Products, prices & stock
All prices are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. Prices and stock levels shown on the site are pulled live from our till system but may occasionally lag the shelf; if an item you ordered is unavailable or mispriced, we will contact you before any payment is taken and you may cancel without cost. Product images are supplier renders and may differ slightly from the packaged item.
2. Ordering & payment
Placing an order reserves the listed items. Payment is currently made in store on collection. Where online payment is offered, it is processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your card details. An order is only confirmed once we message you to confirm stock.
3. Collection
Reserved items are held at your chosen store for 3 (three) working days after we confirm they are ready. Bring your order reference (TGR-…). Unclaimed reservations lapse without penalty. Items marked "Order in" are brought in from our warehouse and are typically ready for collection in 3-5 working days.
4. Delivery
Where delivery is selected, we ship nationwide in South Africa via The Courier Guy / Pudo. Delivery costs R99, and is free for orders over R1 000. Delivery typically takes 1-3 working days in main centres and 3-5 working days elsewhere, counted from payment confirmation. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to your address or Pudo locker. Please inspect the parcel on receipt and report damage within 48 hours.
5. Returns & refunds
Unused items in their original packaging may be returned within 7 (seven) days of collection or delivery for an exchange or refund — in store at any of our branches, or by arranged courier return for delivered orders (return shipping at your cost unless the item is faulty or not what you ordered). This does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including the 6-month statutory warranty on defective goods.
6. Warranties
Every product carries its manufacturer's warranty, handled at any of our stores. Faulty items within the warranty period are repaired, replaced or refunded per the manufacturer's terms and the CPA.
